Faten Khawaja, DPM, is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon specializing in minimally-invasive procedures, diabetic foot care, sports injuries, and the treatment of ingrown toenails. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Houston before completing her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Khawaja then completed a rigorous three-year surgical residency at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, where she served as Chief Resident.
During her training, Dr. Khawaja developed extensive experience in wound and infection management, diabetic limb preservation, and minimally-invasive correction of common forefoot deformities. These experiences strengthened her passion for restoring mobility and improving her patients’ day-to-day comfort.
