Dr. Raj Prabhakar is a South Florida native and skilled foot and ankle surgeon specializing in sports medicine, minimally invasive procedures, and trauma care. Dr. Prabhakar earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from Barry University and completed his residency at Mercy Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident.

A former collegiate basketball player at Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Prabhakar is passionate about sports medicine. He further refined his expertise during a fellowship with the Miami HEAT and Inter Miami CF, treating professional athletes and performing advanced procedures, including bunion corrections, Achilles repairs, and regenerative medicine techniques. His personal experiences as an athlete give him a unique perspective, allowing him to connect deeply with patients and provide specialized care tailored to their active lifestyles.

Dedicated to patient trust and community engagement, Dr. Prabhakar has been involved with the Special Olympics for over a decade. At Modern Foot & Ankle’s Lake Worth office, he strives to help patients achieve their goals and return to the activities they love most.
