Dr. Marquez earned her bachelor's degree from Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio, where she also completed a post-baccalaureate program, and she received her doctorate from Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago. She then undertook an intensive surgical residency at the Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, New York.
