Dr. Dean Sorrento, DPM, is a double board-certified podiatric surgeon specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of foot and ankle conditions, including trauma, sports injuries, deformity correction, arthritis of the foot and ankle, and chronic foot pain. Dr. Sorrento earned his undergraduate degree from Saint Joseph’s University and his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his residency training at the University of Pennsylvania, which at the time offered the country’s only four-year podiatric surgical residency program. Following residency, Dr. Sorrento spent nine years as an assistant professor at Penn State University while practicing with a podiatric group he co-founded. He later partnered with an orthopedic group for more than a decade while continuing to teach surgical techniques at a local hospital.
